Research

The research activities of BIMF are focused on the investigation of fundamental physical and chemical properties of solid, liquid and dissolved macromolecular systems. In particular the synthesis of such systems and their detailed characterization with respect to spectroscopic, thermal, mechanical, and electronic properties is of great importance. Therefore the investigated materials and methods are closely related to the participating departments and research groups. The close cooperation of chemists, physicists, and materials scientists, is essential.
